What is an Ebook? |

An Ebook is a book you can download onto your computer |

Do I need to download any special software to run it? |
|
|
No, you download an exe file that has the book and software bundled in one package so you only download the one file. You do not need to use a web browser or any other package to open it |

Can I print it? |
|
|
Yes you can... The Meade ETX in 10 Easy Steps is fully printable but the Basic Astonomy with a Telescope is too long to print in full as this would be huge and you can't print the animations! However, knowing that you will want to take the chapter on equatorial alignment to your telescope and you may not have a laptop to take outside, you can print chapter 4 that deals with this topic. |

How do I print it? |

You can print your ebook by going to File-> Print in the ebook itself. If the option Print is not showing, or is greyed out then you are in a part of the Astronomy Course that you can't print or else you probably do not have the latest version of the Meade ETX in 10 Easy Steps ebook. Click Here to download the latest version of the Meade eBook which will run with the same username and passowrd you were given at the time you purchased the book. |

My eBook is printing off the sides of pages - what can I do? |
|
|
If you are trying to print your ebook but it is printing off the edges of the page,
it is your printer settings that need to be changed. The ebook should print fine.
You can alter how your printer is set for default and set it so that the page all fits. In your ebook, go to File->Print Setup->Printer Properties-> Effects->Zoom Smart . Then, set it to print to Letter (use the check mark), and select scale to fit (use this check mark as well). This should help. If it doesn't work, you can also set the printer to print landscape rather than portrait, which means more printed pages, but it should all appear on there for you. If you need help configuring your printer, please check your printer user manual. |

Is there any limit to the number of times I can open the book? |
|
|
No, you can read it as often as you like |

How do I get into the book? |
|
|
Once you have downloaded it, go to the directory where you saved the download and double left click on the icon to open it and you will be asked for your username and password which we will email to you when you buy the book. You will only need to put this information in once - the first time you open the book, as long as you tell your computer to remember your password! |

Does the Meade ETX E-book refer to the ETX Premier Telescopes as well as the standard models? |
|
|
Well not directly, but both model types have much in common. The Premier Edition (PE) Telescopes have a somewhat simplified set-up routine for the initial alignment that is not detailed in the ebook, but all the rest of it is equally applicable. |

Will this Ebook Run on an Mac computer? |
|
|
Unfortunately at this time the eBook software only runs on a Windows-based PC platform.
In order to run the eBook software on your Mac, you will need to have a PC emulator program such as Virtual PC or SoftWindows. |

I downloaded and registered the eBook on my PC but now I want to read it on my laptop. Can I do this? |

I have downloaded the eBook but I am getting the message "....not a valid Win32 application." |

This can happen when the download was only partial or is corrupted in some way. Delete the copy you have and click here for the ETX book to download the book again or to download the Astronomy Course again click here |
