If you have purchased an online eBook or course, then you should ALSO get an email giving you your username and password and the link to download the product. | What is an Ebook? | |
| An Ebook is a book you can download onto your computer. The Ebook software we use has built in security, so you need a username and password to get into it, and it will only work on the computer that you originally used to register the book. | |
| Do I need to download any special software to run it? | |
| No, you download an exe file that has the book and software bundled in one package so you only download the one file. You do not need to use a web browser or any other package to open it | |
| Can I print it? | |
| Not at the moment. These eBooks are designed to be read on your computer and for now there is a problem with the print function since IE8 came out. The originators of the software are working on it.. | |
| Is there any limit to the number of times I can open the book? | |
| No, you can read it as often as you like | |
| How do I get into the book? | |
| Once you have downloaded it, go to the directory where you saved the download and double left click on the icon to open it and you will be asked for your username and password which we will email to you when you buy the book. You will only need to put this information in once - the first time you open the book, as long as you tell your computer to remember your password! | |
| Does the Meade ETX E-book refer to the ETX Premier Telescopes as well as the standard models? | |
| Well not directly, but both model types have much in common. The Premier Edition (PE) Telescopes have a somewhat simplified set-up routine for the initial alignment that is not detailed in the ebook, but all the rest of it is equally applicable. | |

| I have downloaded the eBook but I am getting the message "....not a valid Win32 application." | |

If you see the message "Program is not a valid Win32 Application" or "This program has caused an error in Windows and is shutting down"
or "Bad eBook format" the download was only partial or is corrupted in some way.
You will need to delete the incomplete install package and download again. Uninstall by going to your computer's Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and choose the program that is incomplete by clicking on it once in the list. Once it has been chosen and now displays a "Remove" button in the description, click on Remove. Once the remove is complete, restart your computer. | I am getting the message "Server too busy" | |

This error usually means that the information is not getting to the server at all suggests that a firewall or proxy server that is interfering.
Please try turning off your proxy server or altering your firewall setting..
You may need to disable your antivirus software while downloading the product. Unfortunately we can not provide assistance to disable your firewall, as each is configured differently |

| I entered my username and password but I get the error: Username and Password Combination is Invalid. | |

Please try the following steps:
1. Please open Internet Explorer. 2. Try going to 'Tools' then 'Internet Options' then 'Advanced' and click on 'reset'. If you have Firefox, go to 'Tools' then 'Clear Private Data' and make sure to check ALL options.' Other things to check: 1. Please double check the date/time settings on your computer to make sure they are correct. If they are not correct, please update them as otherwise you will not be able to login. 2. Other things that can cause this would be an improperly configured firewall application specifically blocking access to your product, so you may also want to try temporarily disabling your firewall. 3. Open Internet Explorer 7 and go to 'Tools' then 'Internet Options' and click on the 'Connections' tab then 'LAN settings'. Please make sure the "Proxy" option is UNCHECKED. Username/Password tips: It is best to type in your username and password but if that fails you can try to copy and paste it from the email you received (you may be copying unseen characters so that is why it is best to try typing it in first) |

Either you are trying to use the eBook on another computer, (see question 8).
Or it is
possible you have a registry 'cleanner' or some computer 'optimizing' program.
These go through the windows registry and delete things that are not required.
Unfortunatly, they sometimes delete the eBook Pro entries while at it.

Your email that you got from us had the link in that you needed to downnload your purchase, but sometime
the link will wrap onto 2 lines in you email client software and then it won't work. You can get it onto one
line and click it or now you are here,it is probably easier to us these links:

| Do I need to be connected to the internet to read my eBoook? | |

When you first register your eBook you must be connected to the internet but after that you can click the Options
tab (top left) and in the drop down list, click Override Internet Connection Check and then the next time you open the
eBook you will not need to be connected, and the book will open. However,there may be links to web sites or videos on our web site within the
book and of course you will not be able to access these either, but the bulk of the book will be available until you are next
connected to the internet

| I have changed my email address but still want the newsletter | |

At the bottom of every newsletter you receive there is a link that you can use to manage your subscription
so if you change your email address please use this and update your information.
We use a company to send out our emails that has a very good reputation with the ISPs so most of the emails sent this way get through the spam police, but in order to maintain this position we have to obey very strict rules and get you to manage your own subsriptions. By doing this everyone is sure that we are not adding massive lists of email addresses to the system and joining the ranks of the spammers. |
